Gluten-Free Bread Recipes

Even though I do not have many recipes on the site yet, bread is one of the essential parts to conquer when going gluten free or changing your lifestyle.

Apart from concentrating on gluten-free, I always try to avoid flours, which are high in carbs, and therefore, I have picked and used my popular fiber to make these gluten free homemade tortillas.

If you are looking for a loaf on a sweet side, try our protein bread, which you for sure will love. It does reminds me a bit like brioche bread.

For a savory treat, our gluten free pretzels would be just what you are looking for.

Enchiladas

Making enchiladas was my aim, and I wanted to make everything from scratch for you. And wrap or a soft flour tortilla is a big part of it.

Continuing with seasoning, sauce, and the whole casserole, you will fall in love with the entire meal.

3-Ingredient Gluten Free Wraps

This 3-ingredient gluten free wrap is a great recipe for anyone who wants to enjoy a tasty treat without worrying about wheat or gluten and make tortillas at home.

Our Tortillas are easy to make. They do not even require baking powder. All you need is my favorite gluten free flour, eggs, and mozzarella.

The ingredients are cooked, combined, and then rolled out with a rolling pin. Once rolled out, these wraps become pliable and easy to use.

Are All Tortilla Wraps Gluten-free?

Not at all. Not all tortilla wraps are gluten free. The main aspect is what flour you are using to make a wrap. When looking for wraps in the shop, make sure you read all the ingredients. Some store bought tortillas which contain gluten free flour, can also have additional starches you might not even think of.

A great example is our recipe. It is entirely gluten-free, if you use a whole block of mozzarella, which you grate at home. But the minute you decide to buy pre-shredded cheese, the possibility of having starches to keep the shreds separate is big.

Do Gluten Free Wraps Have Carbs?

If all gluten-free wraps have carbs depends again on the ingredients used. Our recipe has minimal carbs because of the oat fiber I am using as a gf flour tortilla substitute.

When you decide to swap the flour for corn and make corn tortillas or others, the carb intake will grow exponentially.

But in general, if you follow the guidance and use any certified gluten-free flour, you will make those gluten-free tortillas at home with ease.

FULL INSTRUCTIONS WITH STEPS FOR HOMEMADE GLUTEN-FREE WRAP RECIPE

First Step: Prepare your Ingredients

Get all of the ingredients together. I love using oat fiber because it gives me flour consistency without additional carbs.

Mozzarella should be in a block and shredded at home. Usually, shredded cheese contains some starches to separate the shreds, which are not gluten-free.

At the same time, preheat your oven to 180 Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit.

Second Step: Prepare the Dough

Start by heating your shredded mozzarella in a pan or cast iron skillet. Using a spatula, mix the cheese and let it melt fully.

Once you melt the cheese, lower the heat and add a dry ingredient, oat fiber. Gently whisk, add eggs and whisk again.

Fourth Step: Work the Dough

Place the dough onto the silicone sheet, and using your hands, work the dough by stretching and folding it for approximately 5 to 6 minutes. This will make the dough much more pliable and easy to work with.

Fifth Step: Roll, Shape, and Bake

As you see in the video, split the dough into eight pieces. Take each piece and use a rolling pin to roll the tortillas into a round shape. Using one of the bowls, press onto the rolled sheet and make a round shape to get the tortillas look.

If you have a tortilla press, take a piece of dough and roll it into a dough ball. Place into the middle of the press but make sure you place your dough between 2 parchment sheets or plastic wrap to avoid sticking the dough to the press. Press fully to get a round tortilla.

Place each tortilla one at a time onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for eight to ten minutes.
