Chicken Burger Patties

These ground chicken burger patties are seasoned to taste like a real hamburger while staying juicy and sturdy on the pan. They cook evenly, hold their shape, and work just as well on the grill as they do on the stovetop.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and finely mince the onion so it blends smoothly into the chicken mixture.
  • Combine the ground chicken, onion, salt, pepper, caraway, thyme, garlic powder, and nutmeg in a bowl, mixing gently until evenly seasoned.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into evenly sized patties for consistent cooking.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Notes

  • Chicken is great, and you can easily switch things up. Ground turkey keeps the patties light, while pork adds extra richness and juiciness.
  • Caraway brings a nice flavor; sage works just as well. It adds a warm, savory touch that fits perfectly in burger patties.
  • Olive oil works nicely as well as avocado oil, ghee, or butter. Each one adds its own flavor and cooks the patties beautifully.
  • Mix the ingredients gently for the best texture. Light handling helps keep the patties juicy and tender.
