Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 Cooked Chicken Breasts
  • Salt - pepper - optional

Instructions

  • As you see, I have used plain chicken I have cooked in my Instant pot for 10 minutes directly from the freezer. What type of chicken you pick depends on your taste.
  • Using a fork or your hands, shred chicken into small pieces on a cutting board.
  • Start layering sliced chicken strips onto a dehydrator tray, ensuring they do not overlap. Place all the trays on top of each other and close the lid. Set the dehydrator to 60 degrees Celsius or 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Dehydrate the chicken for 6 to 8 hours until the pieces are fully dry.

Notes

  • Pressure chicken - to keep the most moisture from the chicken for jerky is to use a pressure cooker
  • Marinade - if you prefer the extra flavor to your chicken, you can pick one of the marinade mixtures from above before you dehydrate the strips. Mix, refrigerate, and dry.
