Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Water
  • 2 Cups Cranberries

Instructions

  • Prepare all your ingredients by rinsing your fresh cranberries thoroughly and removing any stems or leaves. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Get your blender or magic bullet ready and start transferring your cranberries in, followed by 1 cup of water or more, depending on the amount of berries you are using. Blend the cranberries and water until you achieve a smooth and consistent mixture.
  • Using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth strainer, strain the blended mixture to separate the liquid from the pulp, as this helps you get a silky smooth juice.
  • After straining the cranberry juice, you can now sweeten your drink by adding the sweetener of your choice or simply squeezing lemon juice for a little citrusy taste. Feel free to garnish your glass with a slice of lemon with cranberry powder or a few whole cranberries for a touch of visual appeal.

Notes

  • Pick fresh berries - look for plump, firm berries rich in color for the best flavor. You should get it during their peak season, which is fall.
  • Citrus - a splash of fresh lemon or orange juice to balance the tartness of the cranberries. The citrusy brightness enhances the overall flavor profile of your juice.
  • Sweetener - as I have mentioned above, adding sweetener is only optional. Still, if you want a sweeter drink, add sugar substitutes like maple syrup and stevia or flavor from a cinnamon stick.
