Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°Fahrenheit (190°Celsius) and lightly grease a square baking dish. Steam the broccoli until just tender and gather the cheddar and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Place the broccoli in a large bowl and mix with the cream of mushroom soup and shredded cheddar until evenly coated.
  • Fold gently so the cheese is distributed without crushing the broccoli, ensuring an even mixture.
  • Transfer to the baking dish, smooth the top, and bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli florets for the best texture. Frozen broccoli can work, but it may release extra water and make the bake less crispy.
  • Don’t skip preheating the oven. A hot oven helps the cheese melt evenly, and the broccoli gets that nice golden brown on top.
  • Add breadcrumbs or panko for extra crunch. Mixing them with a little melted butter before sprinkling on top gives a crispy, golden finish.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper. Cheese adds flavor, but a little extra seasoning makes each bite pop.
