Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Fresh Cranberries
  • 2 Cups Water

Instructions

  • Prepare your fresh cranberries and water for blending. You can prepare any sweetener or lemon juice if you wish to have a sweeter taste.
  • Place the cranberries into the food processor or blender and add water. When your blended cranberries are ready, transfer the mixture onto a glass cup and strain using a fine mesh sieve. Squeeze them all out until you separate the juice from the pulp.
  • Spread the fruit mixture onto a baking sheet using an offset spatula. Apply an even layer for the best results when you roll the fruit later. Dehydrate and let it dry for 6-8 hours or until the fruit puree is no longer sticky to the touch.
  • Once dried, carefully peel the fruit leather from the parchment paper and roll it into a log or clean chopping board. Cut the roll into bite-sized pieces, and you now have your cranberry fruit roll-ups.

Notes

  • Sweetener - If you prefer a sweeter taste for your fruit roll-ups, I recommend adding your sugar substitute when you blend the cranberries in water so the sweetness will also blend in.
  • Be creative - Mix different fruits for unique flavor combinations. You can do strawberry, kiwi, mango, and pineapple; let your creativity run wild and discover your favorite blend.
  • Parchment paper - Using parchment paper or silicone sheets is essential when making fruit roll-ups as it prevents sticking and makes it easier to roll up your fruit leather once it is done.
