Learn the difference between Granulated Garlic and Garlic Powder to spice up your recipes. Garlic powder and granulated garlic will give you the best garlic flavor, whichever variant you choose. In this article, you will learn everything about using granules and powdered garlic to help you make the right choice for your dish.
Prepare the garlic by peeling each clove and washing them with clean water. Getting your garlic from a fresh harvest would make the best quality and flavor you could have for this recipe, but if not possible, try to look for the best ones in the market. Cut the garlic into thin slices after washing them and set aside, ensuring they are all dry before drying
Spray olive oil on the dehydrator tray surface and place the garlic slices in a single layer to ensure they dry evenly. I am using a plastic insert silicone attached to the trays since garlic slices are small and might fall in between the holes. For this step, it is your choice to season and add some herbs and spices to your garlic.
After drying, you can start making the garlic in the form you like. Place the dried garlic in the Magic Bullet blender to make the perfect granules and start pulsing. Do not press it too long, as this will result in a finer consistency. If the size of the granules turns out similar to crystal sugar, they are perfect.
Make the granulated garlic using the same process. Place the dried garlic pieces in the magic bullet blender and mince or pulse a few times until they turn into a fine powder. You can use a food processor if you prefer to make a large batch of this recipe. If blenders are not available, a coffee grinder is another option.

Notes
Drying garlic - It is okay if you do not have a food dehydrator at home. If you have plenty of time, you can sun-dry or oven-dry garlic.
Blender - Use any blender you choose as long as they can achieve the perfect granules and fine powder from the dried garlic.
Opening the lid - After grinding the garlic powder, wait a few minutes for the powder to settle; otherwise, the dust from the powder will make a mess and could hurt your nose and eyes.
